Typically every gay had the same look: spiked hair, plucked eyebrows, fitted jeans cross-dressers and skinny. They are known when it comes to parties, occasions and festivities, just like in the Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride Festival in which they celebrate its silver anniversary this weekend. It’s a Family-friendly event with fun activities and well-known acts to honor the festival’s 25th year. Along Shoreline Drive at Marina Green, it was long fun activities for everyone with seven stages of music, shopping, food, a family fun zone, raffle, a parade and more. All of these are organized by the gay community. According to Vanessa Romain, co-president of Long Beach Lesbian and & Gay Pride, Inc., said she wants the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community to become involved with the entire community. She knows that with the participation of the gays and lesbians the occasion would be more wonderful and full of life. That’s why everyone is invited to this event.
This year, Gay Romania celebrates its Gay Fest 2008. It’s a yearly gay pride festival of Bucharest which took place in 2004 and now occurs in May-June of each year, lasting for nearly a week. It is Romania’s biggest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender festival organized by ACCEPT a non-profit organization of (LGBT) rights organization. The main festival is accompanied by weeklong festivities including a live art & music exhibition, LGBT cultural events Miss travesti competition, film screenings, art exhibitions, theatre and parties.
