Chip Tsao A Dim-witted and Mediocre Writer

Mr. Chip Tsao a Hong Kong journalist of HK Magazine Online wrote a contemptuous article regarding the rights and dignity of domestic workers. Mr. Tsao makes it appear that it is alright to denigrate Filipino workers in hongkong and take potshots at any filipinos.
Part of Tsao’s column read: “As a nation of servants, you don’t flex your muscles at your master, from whom you earn most of your bread and butter.â€
He further wrote that he “summoned Louisa, my domestic assistant who holds a degree in international politics from the University of Manila, hung a map on the wall, and gave her a harsh lecture.â€
Tsao threatened to sack his domestic worker should war breaks out between the Philippines and China “because I would not risk the crime of treason for sponsoring an enemy of the state by paying her to wash my toilet and clean my windows 16 hours a day.â€
This is a clear display of race and class discrimination as it “tramples on the dignity of our Filipino workers and as human beings.â€
“This disgusting, derogatory, and vile remark can only come from dim-witted and mediocre writing. The magazine should apologize straightaway. The article reflects the kind of attitude that promotes abuses against Filipina workers,” Hontiveros said. That is absolutely right!
Mr. Chip Tsao is an unworthy foreign employer and should be banned from going to the Philippines.

It may be a satire or whatever, indirectly or directly, still he did mocked one nation & race, and also maltreating his own maid i think..he is still a insane RACIST!! Is he really a professional sane writer? As a human being we should respect everyones work role in our society for without them especially the maids he called wet nurses in HK, can he even go to work without someone taking care of his children and his house? He degraded one’s dignified work even as a maid who is working abroad for her family way back home. He even mentioned he is a superior race, chinese race is it? Who did put the melamine on the milk and trying to kill millions of babies in the world, is it the race he is proud of, it is stupidity? His motherland is the source of all FAKES products in the world, my goodness sake! The name CHIP TSAO as in like CHEAP person have no class at all even on the way he dressed up, his name will mark to every Filipino around the world that your a RACIST inhuman person!

The issue is the Spratly Islands, if you see CHEAP Tsao the world map, Spratly geographically in the location of Philippine territories, and if there are countries who wants to join in claiming Spratly it is not China who is so far away from the islands, countries near the islands are Malaysia, Brunei and Vietnam, the only problem is, the name of the sea is South China Sea, that does not mean that all islands in SOuth China Sea belongs to China, what if i change the name to Philippine Sea? hmmm? this “cheap” chip tsao journalist is ignoramus; he is ignorant of the glorious history of a great nation as the Philippines. He is an egghead, a nimcoompoop and totally an outrageous stranger in the realm of writing. His words against the Philippines are blasphemous not only against the sanctity of diplomatic relationship between the Philippines and HK. He is not aware that a great majority of Filipinos in HK work as executives, in-chrage of delicate and important positions both in the managerial and corporate world, without them HK’s economy is under jeopardy of collapse.
Chip Tsao is guilty to the gravest offense of political inaccuracy and historical ignorance.
He is a citizen unworthy of protection of the HK nation.

OK. Its time to wake up folks and show the Chinese what the educated Filipino population can do when pissed-off with a cheap chow.
These humble situation of Filipino servants is just temporary in nature. Once we will get our act together, the world will see what this unassuming nation can do. Yes we let them rule over us, like allowing Chinese businessmen to dominate local trade, but its because we allowed it to be that way since we are humble people who are used to poverty, sacrifice and hard work. But when we decide that the enslaving is over and that the time has come to show the world what we are made of, this cheap chinese columnist will be very surprised. The Filipino has the capacity do do anything from the basest of job to the highest intellectual pursuits. That should scare the Chip munk.

You don’t have to go to Hongkong to witness chinese domination of Filipinos. Just look around you. Who owns most of the strategic locations for business? I’m not against Filipino Chinese businessmen, but they are clearly racist. Come to think of it, Chinese-Filipino parents deny financial support to children who marries a native Filipino or a Filipina. Besides, they don’t really identify themselves with the Filipino culture.
The Filipino is worth dying for because he is …
1. Humble – does not rush to be economic masters, and willing to be enlaved.
2. Patient – endures lifetime of hard sacrifices.
3. Content – does not rush to amass wealth unjustly, but prefered a peaceful path with family and God as the source of happiness and not money.
4. Intelligent and smart
5. Cheerful – poverty cannot steal the inner joy of Filipinos

what has this tsao wrote on his article, is a serious crime and insult to the entire Filipino nation. In his apology, he doesn’t show any remorse at all. By saying that English is a global language that it has been misinterpreted what is the content of what he wrote.
What does he think of us Filipino, stupid and doesn’t understand what he wrote and we misinterpreted what’s the content of his article.
This is all lies and excuses, by asking for apology is not his word by depending what he wrote and his excuse – it’s a bloody arrogant move in his part. Meaning he still stand of what he wrote, his apology is just a show.
Tsao, you are just creating a name for you, congratulation! you got the attention of the entire Filipino nation, you’re really an asshole. You’re worst than a fool.
This gay should be given a lesson. This shows what kind of person he is. Don’t punish your helper because of politics, she has nothing to do with politics.
His apology should not be accepted because there is no sincerety on his part by still depending why he wrote the article. We Filipino don’t understand English according to him because we misinterpreted his article

Whether Chip Tsao cross the line between satirical humor and racism is not the urgent issue. The man already apologized (whether he was forced or not), and his Pinay servant is treated well. It doesn’t change the fact that Hong Kong still provides jobs for Filipinos.
The real issues are the Spratlys, and the insufficient jobs/ income in the Philippines. These 2 issues have very dangerous consequences.
China is one of the world’s cradle of military learning ( History’s greatest in military such as Genghis Khan, Hitler, MacArthur, etc learned something that originated from China). I suggest that Filipinos think deeply about a military confrontation with them.
The inability of Filipinos of providing sufficient jobs/ income for himself is far serious than Chip Tsao. We say the problem is the corrupt Philippine government. But also deserving introspection, are these deep foundational matters:
1.)The industries of Spanish–conquered nations are heavy on Arts & Entertainment rather than industrial. These arts & entertainment industries are non-urgent, non-function, and can not be sold in the international market. On the other hand, the $840 billion worth of Philippine mining is dominated by foreign investors. It’s common sense, big-time source of income/ jobs goes to somebody else.
2.) Filipino Malay heritage (outside of colonial Spain & United States) in commerce, industries, engineering, and philosophies (pertaining to commerce/ industries) did not reach that stage where it’s capable of producing jobs for himself.
The reason why the Filipinos are global in employment is because of the modern education given by the United States, an external force. The Filipinos didn’t figure out modern education, which happens to be the main weapon to seek jobs elsewhere.
I say forgive & forget Chip tsao and focus on these deep foundational matters, because they are very humbling and are next to impossibility to fix.

This is called “satire”. Chip is referring to Hong Kong employers who treat their domestic servant as, well, an uneducated servant from a poor country, when often they are highly educated but forced to work in such jobs because a low-paying job in HK is better than a medium/high-paying job in the Philippines.

Learn to read Chip’s piece for what it is – a jab at Beijing’s nationalist policies and HKers who don’t appreciate the hard work their domestics do!
